This large quilt is made almost exclusively of 9-patch blocks of varying sizes. The border was particularly enjoyable to make, using different yellows and purples to blend into one another around the perimeter.

The title comes from a passage in one of Anne Rice’s books, in which her character vividly explains the process by which one becomes a vampire and achieves immortality.
