Composed entirely of different sized squares, this quilt draws the eye first into the central, lighter colored area. Then, a gradual fusion of color focuses the eye outward towards the darker edges. Finally, interest is drawn towards the border which seems to be undulating and rotating with lighter and darker 9-patch blocks. The word "nebula" means "a vast, cloud-like interstellar mass, either luminous or dark; a galaxy."
