Calabash

Cotton fabrics. Machine-pieced and quilted.
65" x 66"

$5000

This quilt is truly geometric in every sense of the word. It is almost symmetrical, and uses bold colors with a high contrast. It is a combination of traditional 9-patch blocks, in 2 sizes, triangles, and large squares of an original design. The word "Calabash" refers to Calabash, NC, and the "calabash" method of seafood cooking, but it’s really only a word I liked to use as a title.
